SECH is looking for a Charity Manager to join our team.
The role will be based in our Community Hub in Victoria Shopping centre Family Hub at the Prittlewell Chapel North Road, Westcliff-on Sea, working Monday-Friday.

As the Charity Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking many tasks.

As the Charity Manager for South Essex Community Hub, you will be responsible for The running of SECH projects (Community Hubs, Youth Hubs). The Charity Manager role ensures that all Southend residents are allowed to take up services available at Community Hubs. You will use your experience and knowledge of the local area and networks to engage with hidden communities to tackle social isolation and digital exclusion.

The Charity Manager will act as a management team member supporting the COO in networking and fundraising to promote SECH in Southend and South Essex. You will encourage SECH, Improve community Engagement through Community Hubs. You will create online content support and promote the Charities media profile. You will enable and assist vulnerable residents and develop new activities and projects to support the community’s needs.
You will identify hidden communities, tackle social isolation, engage with statutory partners and the third sector to build partnerships, source and apply for community funding and develop successful relationships with funding organisations.

The Charity Manager will focus on the following areas;
Improved economic and social health of individuals and communities through holistic community-led responses that support community cohesion, inclusion and development aligned to the Southend System-wide agreed with Locality approach.
You will actively contribute to developing and delivering the services following the objectives of the Charity.

You will work across all aspects of the Charity’s operations to achieve critical objectives. The Charity Manager will assist the COO in contributing to initiatives intended to grow the Charity and its continued development and sustainability.
