SECH aims to improve the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the people of South Essex. We collaborate and participate among community members, local organisations, and various stakeholders to address common issues, build social capital, and enhance overall quality of life.
SECH is a founding member of the Southend Alliance, working in partnership with Southend Food Bank and St Vincent de Paul. The pandemic brought people and services together. The Founding members saw the gaps in food support and the growing impact of the cost of living crisis. SECH supported the inception and development of the Alliance, working in partnership and engaging with service providers and stakeholders.
SECH saw the community’s need and responded.
In 2023 the Food Alliance became a registered charity.
